Adam Kurak

Adam Kurak Mikhailovich (Russian Адам Михайлович Курак; born 27 June 1985) is a Russian wrestler. It was 2013 Vice European Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling in lightweight.

Career

Adam Kurak began as a teenager in 1995 with the rings. He focuses on the Greco- Roman style. He is a member of the wrestling clubs Mindiaschwili Academy Krasnoyarsk. His coach is Sergei Sidnikow. Rings is currently also his profession.

It is effectively a late starter, because first notable successes he achieved only in 2009, when he was already 24 years old. This year, he was then equal to the Russian champion at lightweight. In the following years 2010 to 2012, he was able to win this championship not once, but won a medal every year.

For interventions at international championships came Adam Kurak not until the year 2013. He was, however, in many high-level international tournaments here and came here often excellent places. In January 2013 he won the most important Russian wrestler tournament, " Ivan Poddubny " Memorial in Tyumen before Islambek Albijew, Samir Sagaschtokow and Yuri Denisov, all Russia and was subsequently nominated for the 2013 European Championship in Tbilisi. In Tbilisi, he defeated Benedict buffer, Austria, Artak Margaryan, France and Yüksel Atakan, Turkey. In the final he was then compared with Tamas Lörincz, the Olympic Second of 2012, he lost to on points. He thus became European vice-champion.

In the Russian championship in 2013, which took place after the European Championships, Adam Kurak could not place it in the front of the field. He was therefore not used in the World Cup 2013. In the main Russian -up tournament at the 2014 season he defeated in January 2014 in Tyumen Russian Champion 2013 Islambek Albijew and so was the tournament winner.
