Adam Sarota

Adam Sarota ( born December 28, 1988 in Gordonvale ) is an Australian football player who has also Polish citizenship. The attacking midfielder has since the summer of 2010 at FC Utrecht under contract.

Career

Sarota already played as a youth for Brisbane City in the local State League, before he spent two years in Germany was formed in 2006 to train at the 1st Youth Soccer Cologne. In early 2008 he returned to Australia and played for the Brisbane Strikers, which he led in the championship final of the Queensland State League. Despite a 0-1 defeat in the final match against Sunshine Coast, he was honored after the game as the best player of the season award with the Hyundai QSL Most Valuable Player.

In the 2008 /09 season he played mostly as team captain for the youth team of the Queensland Roar (since 2009 Brisbane Roar ) in the newly formed A-League National Youth League and was there honored as the best player of the season. In early November 2008, he sat for the injured Reinaldo in two games the first team on the bench and came in two games by Substitutes used.

For the 2010/11 season Sarota changes together with his teammates Tommy Oar Brisbane and Michael Zullo of the Dutch first division club FC Utrecht, where he signed a contract until 1 July 2013.

In August 2011 Sarota debut in a friendly against Wales in the Australian national team.
