Adolfo Tito Yllana

Adolfo Tito Yllana ( born February 6, 1948 in Naga City ) is a diplomat of the Holy See.

Life

The Archbishop of Caceres, Alberto Valderrama Teopisto, ordained him a priest on 19 March 1972. John Paul II appointed him on 13 December 2001 Titular Archbishop of Montecorvino and Apostolic Nuncio to Papua New Guinea.

He received his episcopal consecration Pope personally on 6 January of the next year; Co-consecrators were Leonardo Sandri, substitute of the Secretariat of State, and Robert Sarah, secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.

On 5 February 2002 he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio in the Solomon Islands. On 31 March 2006 he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Pakistan. Benedict XVI. appointed him on 20 November 2010 as the Apostolic Nuncio in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
