Adolfo Valencia

Adolfo José Valencia Mosquera ( born February 6, 1968 in Buenaventura ) is a former Colombian football player.

Career

Clubs

At the beginning of the season 1993/94 FC Bayern Munich undertook the centers under the nickname El ( The train ) known Colombian. His league debut came on August 7, 1993 ( 1st Round ) 3-1 home win over SC Freiburg, where his two goals ( 2-0 in the 15th and 3-0 in the 24th minute ) arrive. After 25 missions and eleven goals, he finished the first season and was with the German champions Bayern. National

Valencia made ​​his debut on 31 July 1992 which won for the national team of his country in Los Angeles with a 1-0 win over the United States. He participated in the World Championships in 1994 and 1998 and came six times used. In the first tournament he scored in the group matches against Romania (1:3; June 18 ) and against the United States (1:2; June 23 ) its only World Cup goals.
