Adršpach

Adršpach ( German Adersbach ) is a village in Okres Náchod in the Czech Republic. It is the seat of the municipality and is located 14 kilometers west of Broumov.

Geography

Adršpach located in Brown Auerbergland in the north of Adersbach - Teplice Rocks. Neighboring towns are Libnah in the north, Zdoňov in the northeast, Horni Teplice ( Oberweckelsdorf ) in the east, Teplice in the southeast and Hodkovice ( Hottendorf ) in the southwest. Across the border to Poland, which runs in the north- west, Uniemyśl located in the western and Chełmsko Śląskie in the northwest.

History

Adersbach probably originated in the 13th century during the colonization of the Braunauer country. The castle of the same name was first mentioned in 1348 and 1354 was in the possession of Hanus of Dubé on Adersbach. His descendants erected near the castle, which was destroyed after the Hussite Wars as robber barons of the Silesians, a fort. Peter of Dubé sold Adersbach together with the castle districts Rýzmburk and Skály 1534 the John of Pernštejna, who had inherited the rule Nachod in the same year by his brother Vojtěch of Pernštejna. In 1543 he sold the lordships rocks and Rýzmburk and a year later the entire rule Nachod the Smiřický of Smiřice. In the same year Adersbach was divided into the Dorfschaften Lower and Upper Adersbach. In 1577 it was owned by the Adam Bohdanecký of Hodkov that made 1577-1580 converted into a Renaissance castle the castle. After frequent changes of ownership Adersbach got to Johann Nádherný, it remained with his descendants until 1948.

Following the lifting of patrimonial Adersbach belonged to the District Commission Braunau. Since the 19th century it developed because of the nearby rock city, which was visited in 1790 by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, a popular tourist destination. The number of inhabitants in 1900 was: 1538 and 1930: in 1490, of which 1390 German.

After the Munich Agreement in 1938 Adersbach, which was inhabited mainly German, slammed the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district of Braunau was. In the years 1945 and 1946, the expulsion of the German inhabitants took place. The number of inhabitants declined significantly. The last owner was Constantin von Nadherny, which was expropriated by the communist takeover in 1948 and emigrated to Austria.

  • The Adršpach Castle was built in 1577-1580 by the then lord Adam Bohdanecký of Hodkov.
  • The so-called Umlaufhof was built as a courthouse in 1670. He is one of the oldest timber-framed buildings in the region.
