Aermacchi M-290 RediGO

The Aermacchi M -290 TP Redigo is a two-seat training aircraft. It is powered by a turboprop engine and serves the beginners training. It was originally manufactured by Valmet in Finland as L -90 TP Redigo for the Finnish Air Force. The prototype, a modified L-80, first flew on 12 February 1985. In 1996 Aermacchi bought the production rights.

Construction

The aircraft is designed with retractable landing gear or low-wing monoplane with elevator in the amount of rudder approach. Students and teacher sitting side by side under a transparent hood. The engine is accommodated in the bow. Like many other military training aircraft, it can be used in equipment with lighter armament for weapons training and light utility tasks.
