Afghansat 1 or Eutelsat 48D (formerly Eutelsat 28B, 48B and Eutelsat Eutelsat W2M ) is a television satellite, the ( European Telecommunications Satellite Organization ) is operated by the company Eutelsat.

History

The satellite is produced as Eutelsat W2M based on the Indian satellite bus platform ISRO I- 3K (I- 3000), which came into use also in the largely identical satellites INSAT -4A and INSAT -4B.
