Aga Khan Award for Architecture

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture ( in German: " Aga Khan Award for Architecture " ) is one of Karim Aga Khan IV, donated architecture prize for architecture and restoration projects with special effects for the common good, with a focus on "societies in which Muslims have a significant presence. " The prize is awarded by the Aga Khan Development Network and is considered the largest of its kind in the world.

The Aga Khan Award is presented in three-year cycles to multiple projects and their architects. Although most of the projects from the Muslim world come, who are responsible for these winners come from non-Muslim countries. Jury and Steering Committee for each cycle are composed of an international pool of architects, intellectuals, scientists, artists and experts from development co-operation.
