Agnes of Solms-Laubach

Agnes of Solms- Laubach ( born January 7, 1578 Laubach, † November 23, 1602 in Laubach ) was a countess of Solms- Laubach and by marriage Countess of Hesse- Kassel.

Life

Agnes was the daughter of Count Johann Georg Solms- Laubach (1546-1600) from his marriage to Margaret (1554-1606), daughter of Count Georg I. von Schoenburg - Glauchau.

She married 15 -year-old on September 23, 1593 in Kassel Landgrave Moritz of Hesse- Kassel, who had met at the wedding of his eldest sister Anna Maria. The wedding was celebrated lavishly and attended by numerous princely people.
