Agrate Conturbia

Agrate Conturbia ( Piedmontese Agra e Conturbia, Lombard Agraa e Cunturbia ) is a municipality with 1556 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Novara (NO ), Region Piedmont.

The municipality consists of the two places and parts Agrate Conturbia. The neighboring municipalities are Bogogno, Borgo Ticino, Divignano, Mezzomerico, Suno and Veruno.

The patron saint of the village is San Vittore.

Geography

The community is located 25 km from the provincial capital Novara at an altitude of 337 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of ​​14.51 km ². The Lago Maggiore is located at a distance of 12 km, the Lago d' Orta is 18 km away.

Attractions

The most notable building in the town is the Romanesque Baptistery of the 12th century ( Baptistery of San Giovanni).
