AirBridgeCargo Airlines

AirBridge Cargo is a Russian cargo airline based in Moscow and base at the airport Sheremetyevo. It is a subsidiary of Volga-Dnepr Airlines.

History

In 2004, Volga -Dnepr Airlines founded a cargo airline with the name AirBridge Cargo, which started its activities in the international market. AirBridge Cargo is the first Russian cargo airline that connects with Boeing 747- 200F Europe with Asia via Russia. On January 27, 2012 AirBridge Cargo was awarded as one of the first airlines to the new Boeing 747- 8F.

Objectives

AirBridge Cargo regularly flies from Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Aachen via the hubs in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk to Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Nagoya and Hong Kong. Since 2007 there is also trans polar flights from Krasnoyarsk to America. In collaboration with ATRAN the airports of Munich and Malmö are served since 9 January 2014.

Fleet

As of October 2013, the fleet of 12 planes AirBridge Cargo consists of:

  • 8 Boeing 747- 400ERFs
  • 4 Boeing 747- 8F

The fleet of AirBridgeCargo is maintained in Germany by Volga Dnepr Technics GmbH at Frankfurt airport and at the hub in Leipzig / Halle GmbH by the VDT in one, specially erbautem, hangar.
