Ajdir
Ajdir or Axdir (Arabic أجدير Adschdir, Aǧdīr DMG ) is a city in the Rif region of northern Morocco, in the province of Al Hoceïma, about 7 km from the city of Al Hoceïma away. It is densely populated, located in Einpendelbereich Al Hoceïma and therefore shows a dynamic growth. This is reflected in modern architecture.
History
Ajdir was 1921-1926 the capital of the Rif Republic. In the local language, the Rifeño means Aŷdīr wall and with the word Appendix fortress. Their origin is probably Punic.
