Ã…ke Lassas

Erik Åke Lassas ( born August 21, 1924 in Leksand, † April 16, 2009 ) was a Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

At club level, Åke Lassas played exclusively for his hometown club Leksand IF. From 1948 to 1963, he joined with his team in Division 1, the then highest Swedish league, and the second-rate Division 2 at. In 1956, he became the first player to Guldpucken player of the year in Sweden. His jersey number 2 has been banned from Leksand IF and will not be given to other players.

Internationally

For Sweden Lassas participated in Oslo and 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo in the Olympic Winter Games 1952. At the Winter Games in 1952 he won the bronze medal with his team. As the best European team Sweden was also European champion. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the 1954 World Cup, where he also won the bronze medal with his team.
