Leksand

Leksand is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Dalarna County and Dalarna. The chief town of the same name located at the southern end of Lake Siljan, where the Österdalälven flows out of the lake.

Leksand is a tourist and administrative center. In addition to the local government is also a part of the administration of the provincial Landtag in Leksand.

Known is the small town mainly because of its ice hockey team Leksand IF that was in the years 1969, 1973, 1974 and 1975 respectively Swedish ice hockey champions. In recent years, the club has become a " lift team " between the 1st League (Elitserien ) and the second league (Allsvenskan).
