Al Staehely

Al Staehely (* December 27, 1945 in Austin, Texas) is a singer and songwriter. In the 1970s he played with Spirit, The Staehely Brothers and The Nick Gravenites - John Cipollina band. He also produced for the labels Epic and Polydor.

Musical Career

In 1970 he left the University of Texas Law School and moved to Los Angeles. There he joined as bassist for the band Spirit and took them to the album Feedback.

After the mid- 1970s he left Spirit, he worked mainly as a songwriter.

In the late 1970s he co-starred with John Cipollina and Nick Gravenites and entered among other things, also at Rockpalast.

Today, he works as a lawyer.
