Alba Star S. A. is a Spanish charter airline for cargo and passenger services based in Palma.

History

Alba Star was established on November 30, 2009. The leadership of the company took over Michael Harrington, who previously worked as CEO of the Spanish LTE. The staff had been previously employed mainly in the Italian MyAir or LTE. The largest contributors to the airline are the Italy Aviation Service Group, the Group Kenobi and Femar. On 30 July 2010 the company received the flight approval and could resume flight operations with two Boeing 737-400 in the passenger version, both of which were stationed at Milan -Malpensa airport so the next day, 31 July 2010. In January 2011, a Boeing 737-400 was followed as a freight version which was, however, based in Catania.

Destinations

Alba Star flies in the passenger charters for tour operators, among others, from various Italian cities to the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. The freighter stationed in Catania is used to North Africa and Europe.

In the spring of 2013 flew Alba Star for REWE Touristik of Kassel and Erfurt with feeder flights from Rostock to Palma de Mallorca airport.
