Albert II, Count of Hoya

Albrecht II von Hoya (* 1526, † March 18, 1563 ) was from 1545 to 1563 Graf von Hoya.

Life

Albrecht was the son of Jobst II von Hoya and his wife Anna von Gleichen. First, he took his brothers Erich and Otto on the government, which in 1553 renounced in his favor and Albrecht ruled alone from now on. 1561 Albrecht married Catherine of Oldenburg. After he died childless, his brothers ruled successively by Otto died in 1582 as the last Count of Hoya and the dynasty died out with it. His wife Catherine ( † 1620) still survived him many years.
