Alberto López Fernández

Alberto López Fernández, shortly Alberto ( born May 20, 1969 in Irun ) is a former Spanish footballer, who last played for Real Valladolid in the Spanish Primera División.

Playing career

Real Sociedad

Alberto played most of his football career at the Basque club Real Sociedad tradition. In 1989, Alberto moved from amateur club CD Pasajes to RSO. After three years in the B- team, he quickly became master force in the " Txuri Urdin " and was always safer backing. With a total of 346 professional applications in the Premier League for Real Sociedad, he is one of the record players of the club. His greatest success with San Sebastian was the runner-up 2002/2003 behind record champions Real Madrid. This was doubly bitter because the title was playful until the penultimate round by an away defeat in the subsequent Champions League hopefuls Celta Vigo. The following year, Alberto also played with his unit in the " top tier ".

The last years

Although he was always a safe backing, Alberto was ousted in 2004 by the newly obligated Asier Riesgo goal.
