Alejandro Dolina

Alejandro Dolina ( born May 20, 1945 in Baigorrita, Argentina) is an Argentine presenter, musician and writer.

Life

Dolina was born in Baigorrita (Province of Buenos Aires ) and grew up in Caseros, a middle-class suburb of Buenos Aires, on.

In the early 1970s Dolina worked as a copywriter and published his first article in the magazine " Satiricon ". He worked at this time with the comic book writer Carlos Trillo together.

In 1978, Satiricon was hired by the military dictatorship, Dolina joined the " humor " magazine. In these years, Dolina, who was a moderate Peronist himself wrote essays on honor, love, friendship, and was the founder of the myth of "gray angel " of Flores. The Grey Angel was the fictional writer Manuel Mandeb, for Manuel Evequoz was the model. The stories were published in the " Crónicas del Ángel Gris" in 1987 and were later template for a musical.

With the return of democracy in 1983 Dolina worked as a presenter of the Late Show " Demasiado tarde para lágrimas " ( Too late for tears ) on the radio. In 1987 he was elected to a survey of prime-time TV show for best humorists.

In 1988, he launched his own television show " La Barra de Dolina ". 1990 and 1991, the television show has been sent once a week, during his daily radio show paused. 1992, both programs were renamed " El Mundo Ombligo ". In 1993, the television show was set during the radio broadcast their current name " La venganza será terrible" ( The revenge will be terrible ) received. 1991 Dolina was nominated for the " Konex Award " for best TV or radio presenter.

His last television shows, especially " Bar del Infierno ", were less successful.

Dolina was always known for his extensive knowledge of the Argentine Tango and is a fairly good pianist and singer. He was a key figure in the revival of tango through his speeches, but also by linking familiar tunes with their titles and authors in the last section of his radio show. He produced and sang his " criollische " opera " Lo que me costo el amor de Laura" (What I paid for Laura's love).
