Alena Procházková

Alena Procházková ( born August 9, 1984 in Banská Bystrica ) is a Slovak cross-country skier.

Career

Alena Procházková is a student and starts for LK Slavia UMB Banska Bystrica. Since 2001 she takes in international competitions. Initially, these were unterklassige competitions such as the FIS and Continental Cup competitions. In addition, they launched multiple times at Junior World Championships, but did not achieve significant results. In 2003, Procházková first part in a Nordic World Ski Championships. In Val di Fiemme a 49th in the 10 -kilometer race was the best result. In December 2004, the Slovak was first used in the Cross Country World Cup. In Lago di Tesero she was 36 in a pursuit race. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf their best result was a 17th place in the sprint. On this route reached Procházková also their best result in their three races at the 2006 Olympics in Turin. At the end of the season 2005/ 06 the first time she was able to gain World Cup points in 25th in a sprint race in Drammen. Highlight the following season were the Universiade in Pragelato, where she won silver in the 5 -kilometer race and the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo, where she was 17th in the sprint and seventh in the team sprint. In December 2007, at the beginning of the season 2007/ 08 the sprint specialist was in a sprint race in Kuusamo third parties and reached for the first time a podium finish in the World Cup. In the Winter Universiade 2011 Erzurum in Turkey, she managed to remarkable performance to run to four gold medals.
