Alessandro Besozzi
Alessandro Besozzi (* July 22, 1702 in Parma, † July 26, 1793 in Turin ) was an Italian composer and oboist of the pre-classical period.
Life
Alessandro Besozzi came from the family of musicians Besozzi. He was taught by his father Cristoforo Besozzi ( 1661-1725 ). From 1714 he was associated with a grade of 44 lire a member of the chapel of the " Guardia irlandese ", as did his father and his brothers. In 1728 he was conducted with 100 Lire as a " virtuoso " in the court of Parma in the account books, in addition, he received the recommended daily intake of bread, wine and firewood.
Together with Paolo Girolamo he left after the death of the art-loving duke Antonio Farnese in Parma in March 1731. After that, he was an oboist ( Primo virtuoso di camera) at the court of Savoy in Turin, and his brother Paolo Girolamo Besozzi found there a job as a bassoonist. Only two concert tours left the two brothers Turin, one of which led her to Paris, where she on 30 March and 29 May 1735 spiritual appeared together at the concert.
In Turin Besozzi received a starting salary of 1200 lire a year and a contract for the apartment of another 200 lire. 1771 is the salary to 1450, even in 1775 increased to 2,100 lire, a sum that. The German oboist Johann Christian Fischer traveled to Besozzis to study kantabiles game to Turin. About Alessandro and Paolo Girolamo's game reported Charles Burney, who both met in Turin, detailed in his diary a musical journey from 1770: " .... Your printed compositions give only an imperfect idea of it. So much expression! so much tenderness! as a perfect union and agreement among themselves that many places heart intimate, seem to have by one and the same tube exhaled sigh. You are not looking for brilliant design, all notes are full of vigor. The imitations are accurate; the melody under Beyde instruments are equally distributed, each forte, piano, crescendo, and every appoggiatura is observed with the most painstaking accuracy, all of which could be obtained only through such a long stay bey each other and united by studying .... "
