Alex Coomber

Alex ( andra ) Coomber ( born December 28, 1973 in Antwerp) is a British skeleton pilot. She is also known by her birth name Alex ( andra ) Hamilton.

Alex Coomber debuted in late 1997 at the World Cup and was at her first race in La Plagne Fifth. In 1999, she won her first World Cup race in Calgary. In this 1999/2000 season, she won three of the four races. Overall Coomber reach seven World Cup victories. The 1997/98 season she finished in fifth place on the overall World Cup, the following season in sixth. 1999/2000 she won first read two more victories followed here in the next two seasons. So she's here today to record winner. She is also the only British athlete who won each a winter World Cup series for themselves.

Between 1998 and 2002 Coomber won all four races held at the British Championships. At World Championships, she first participated in 2000 in Igls and finished fourth. The following year, she won silver in Calgary behind Maya Pedersen - Bieri.
