Alexander Douglas Smith ( born May 7, 1984 in Bremerton, Washington) is an American professional American football player at the position of quarterback. He plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League ( NFL).

Alex Smith played college football for the Utah Utes from the University of Utah, where he won the Fiesta Bowl in 2005.
