Alexander Medvedev

Alexander Ivanovich Medvedev (Russian: Александр Иванович Медведев; born August 14, 1955 in Schachtjorsk on Sakhalin Island ) is Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Russian energy giant Gazprom and Director General of Gazprom Export GmbH ( " Газпром экспорт ").

Life

Medvedev concluded his studies in 1978 at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology from. From 1989 to 1991 he worked as Director of Donau-Bank AG in Vienna and from 1998 to 2002 he was Director of IMAG Investment Management and Advisory Group GmbH in Vienna worked.

In 2009, he led the negotiations on Gazprom for gas supplies through Ukraine to Western Europe.

Medvedev speaks German without an accent. It is not closely related to the former Russian president and former Gazprom chairman Dmitry Medvedev.

Medvedev is also President of the Continental Hockey League and Hockey clubs SKA Saint Petersburg. He is also a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and represents it as a member of the Council of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF.
