Alexandre Tremblay

Alexandre Tremblay ( born March 22, 1979 in Beaupré, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays on the left wing for the EHC Visp in the National League B since 2011.

Career

Tremblay began his career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and completed 264 games for Laval, Shawinigan and Rimouski Océanic, in which he collected 137 goals, 141 assists and 335 penalty minutes. In spring 2000, he won the Memorial Cup in Rimouski, the trophy of the Canadian Hockey League, in the final against the Barrie Colts.

In his rookie year in 2000/ 01 at the Université du Québec à Trois- Rivières ( UQTR ) Tremblay was named CIS rookie of the year, setting a new UQTR rookie record with 29 goals and 24 assists on. He won the championship of the University League CIS 2000/ 01 and was the Most Valuable Player of the championship appointed. Two years later he was named CIS Player of the Year, was leading scorer and top scorer of the CIS and again won the CIS championship with the UQTR Patriotes.

In March 2003, Tremblay signed a trial contract with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League and finished five games there. For the following season he moved to Finland to JYP Jyväskylä in the SM- liiga. After a year in Europe, he returned to Canada to the Radio X de Québec in the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey, where he among other things, played together with Donald Brashear and won the championship.

After a year in the LNAH he got a contract offer from Fribourg- Gottéron, but where he graduated just a game and was otherwise used in the NLB when HC La Chaux -de-Fonds. With 34 goals and 31 assits he was top scorer of the HC La Chaux -de-Fonds, since one but missed the play-offs, Tremblay moved to EHC Biel to support this in the playoff finals and relegation. Although the EHC Biel won the NLB Championship, but failed in the Relegation to Fribourg- Gottéron. In the 2006/07 season he remained in Biel and became the top scorer of the EHC. During the playoffs, he ran up to top form ( with 15 goals and 13 assists in 15 games ) and was a guarantee for the defense of the NLB title.

In January 2008 it was announced that Tremblay had signed a two year contract with the Lausanne HC. In Lausanne Tremblay was promoted to captain and crew fell on by consistently strong performances when he was in consequence reached an average of about one point per game in three seasons. In January 2011, he was obliged by the EHC Visp, where he signed a contract, which shall apply from the 2011/12 season. In December 2012, he left the Valais, because these Domenico Pittis had contracted. Tremblay then hired on at the GCK Lions.
