Alexandros Tziolis (Greek Αλέξανδρος Τζιόλης, born February 13, 1985 in Katerini ) is a Greek football player.

Career

Association

Alexandros Tziolis began his career with the Greek amateur club Apollonas Litoxorou. In 2002 he moved to Greek club Panionios Athens, in which he signed his first professional contract. In Panionios Tziolis on first attempt the leap into the root formation and knew to convince despite his young age. For the club Tziolis came in the Greek championship on 61 missions and scoring three goals. In 2005 he moved to Panathinaikos, where he remained until January 2009, before he was loaned to German club Werder Bremen. On 13 May 2009, the midfielder scored in the match against Eintracht Frankfurt his only goal for Werder.

On 29 January 2010 the Siena Tziolis committed. In August 2010 he was loaned out to Racing Santander, also the AC Siena received a rental fee in the amount of 100,000 euros. The Kantabriern was also assured a purchase option.

For the second half of the 2013/14 season Tziolis was loaned to the Turkish first division club Kayserispor.

National

Alexandros Tziolis belongs to the young generation of players who have been called into the squad of the Greek national football team, Otto Rehhagel after winning the 2004 European Football Championship. At the 2008 European Championships in Austria and Switzerland Tziolis came in the group stage of the tournament on a bet.
