Henrique Sereno

Henrique Sereno Fonseca (born 18 May 1985 in Elvas ) is a Portuguese football player, his preferred position is central defense. He currently plays for Kayserispor.

Career

Association

Sereno began his career with his hometown club O Elvas. For the 2005/06 season, he joined the Super League to Vitória Guimarães, where he was loaned to second round at the FC Famalicão. With Vitória Guimarães, who were now relegated to the Liga de Honra, he managed to direct and re-emergence in the 2007/ 08 season. Ranking third even taking part in the Champions League qualifiers There you but failed at FC Basel and was eliminated in the UEFA Cup in the first round against FC Portsmouth. In the 2008 /09 season Sereno came just six league inserts due to injuries. In January 2010 he moved to Real Valladolid, but returned after half a year back to Portugal. Sereno signed a loan agreement " for at least a season " and was given the shirt number 17, he celebrated his Bundesliga debut on Matchday 4 of the 2011/12 season at the Cologne 4-3 away success at Hamburger SV. After the descent of the FC in the 2nd Bundesliga Sereno initially returned to his original club. However, he was loaned to the 2012/13 season at Real Valladolid.

In the summer of 2013, he moved to Turkey to Kayserispor.

National

Having already completed one match for the Under-21 team of Portugal in 2007, Sereno debuted on June 10, 2013 under coach Paulo Bento as part of a friendly match against Croatia in the senior team.
