Alexandru Bourceanu

Alexandru Bourceanu ( born April 24, 1985 in Galaţi ) is a Romanian football player. The defensive midfielder has since February 2014 at Trabzonspor under contract.

Career

Association

The career of Alexandru Bourceanu began in his hometown of Galaţi at Dunărea Galaţi, where he aufrückte in the 2004/05 season in the first team (Division II today ), was present at the time in the second- highest Romanian league, the Divizia B. From the season 2005/ 06 he was at Dunărea team regular, but could not avoid relegation in 2008. But by the performances this season he came to the fore of the teams from the league 1, where he joined the local rivals Oţelul Galaţi joined. On 27 June 2008 he came to his first deployment in the highest Romanian league.

After a year Bourceanu got the opportunity to switch to his Romanian top clubs, took him as the reigning vice-champion FC Timişoara under contract. Again, he succeeded immediately jump to the root force. In the 2010/11 season he was runner-up with his new club behind Oţelul Galaţi. However, Timişoara was no approval for the 2011/ 12 and was relegated to the Liga II. Bourceanu joined then to record champions Steaua Bucharest. He contributed significantly to the championship in 2013 and subsequent Supercup victory (2013 ) of Steaua as team captain. This Bourceanu where it won its first title.

In February 2014, the 28- year-old midfielder joined Trabzonspor and signed for the next three and a half years with them.

National

Bourceanu played 24 games so far for the Romanian national football team. He made his debut on 11 February 2009 in a friendly against Croatia when he was substituted in the 71st minute for Paul Codrea. After over two years of absence, he returned in June 2011 back at the European Championship qualifier against Bosnia- Herzegovina in the national selection. Since then he belongs to the root of the banns of coach Victor Piţurcă.
