Alexei Kopeikin

Alexei Alexandrovich Kopeikin (Russian Алексей Александрович Копейкин; born August 29, 1983 in Angarsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Sibir Novosibirsk HK in the Kontinental Hockey League since May 2012.

Career

Alexei Kopeikin began his career as a hockey player in the Nachwuchshabteilung of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, for the second team, he was active in the third-class Perwaja league in the season 1999 /2000. He then spent two years playing for the third class also playing Samorodok Khabarovsk, where the attacker in the 2000 /01 season made ​​his debut for the city Amur Khabarovsk neighbors in professional hockey. In his two appearances in the Super League, he was spot - and with impunity. The 2005/06 season spent at the Kopeikin HK Spartak Moscow in the Super League. It was followed by two years at HK Sibir Novosibirsk, before he received a contract with Avangard Omsk of the Continental HK Hockey League for the newly formed 2008/09 season. After only 18 games, he returned to his former club Amur Khabarovsk, in which he acted as team captain between 2009 and 2011. In May 2012, he left Amur and was obliged by HK Sibir Novosibirsk for two years.
