Alexey Tyranov

Alexei Vasilievich Tyranow (Russian Алексей Васильевич Тыранов, scientific transliteration Aleksej Vasil'evič Tyranov; * 1801 in Beschezk; † August 3, 1859 in Kashin ) was a Russian painter. He painted mainly portraits and genre paintings.

He started with his brother by painting icons. Finally, he moved to St. Petersburg to study at the Russian Academy of Arts. There he took lessons with Alexei Wenezianow. Since 1836 he was a student of Karl Briullov.
