Alfred Vreven

Alfred Daniel Marie Ghislain Joseph Vreven ( born March 24, 1937 in Sint- Truiden, † 15 June 2000 in Jette, Belgium) was a Belgian politician.

Biography

The son of longtime members, Senators and the Minister Raoul Vreven studied post-school law and then worked as a notary.

His political career began as the candidate of Partij voor de Vrijheid Vooruitgang (PVV ) in 1970 with the first elected as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies. In this he represented until 1997, the interests of the constituency Arrondissement Hasselt.

On 17 December 1981 he was appointed by Prime Minister Wilfried Martens on the defense minister in the government and was part of this until 1985.
