Ali Badjo Gamatié

Ali Bajau Gamatié (c. 1957) is a Nigerien managers, entrepreneurs and politicians.

Biography

Gamatié worked for many years in the financial industry and among other employees at the World Bank as well as representatives from the European Union.

On 5 January 2000, he was appointed Economic and Finance in the cabinet of Prime Minister Hama Amadou and belonged to this until 2003.

Subsequently, he was in October 2003 Vice-Governor of the West African Central Bank ( BCEAO ) and was 2006 alongside Paul Bohoun Bouabré and Philippe -Henri Dacoury - Tabley from the Ivory Coast and Abdoulaye Bio - Tchané from Benin as a possible successor of Charles Konan Banny as governor the BCEAO. Ultimately was Dacoury - Tabley Governor of the Bank.

In addition, he has already been mentioned as a possible prime minister of Niger, in 2008 was also special advisor to President Tandja Mamadou for the mining industry and was next chief negotiator of the Nigerien government with the French nuclear engineering company Areva for negotiating the Group's investment in the uranium mine Imouraren.
