Alice Glenn

Alice Glenn (* December 17, 1927 as Alice Duffy, † 16 December, 2011 Dalkey, County Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown ) was an Irish politician (Fine Gael ).

Life

Glenn's political career began in 1974 when she was elected to the Dublin Corporation, should they belong to 1991. There she was a member of the Dublin Port and Docks Board was the first woman.

After two unsuccessful attempts in 1973 and 1977, Glenn was the first time in 1981 for Fine Gael in the Dublin Central constituency elected to the 22th Dáil Éireann. The last six years of her life she spent at Our Lady 's Manor Nursing Home, a nursing home in Bulloch Castle in Dalkey, County Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown. She was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery.
