Alliance Ethnik
Ethnic Alliance was a French rap band.
History
The band was created on the initiative of camel Houairi. This sought four more children from immigrant families, and took with them a demo CD, which helped them to a contract with an agency. This set them as the opening act for IAM in Paris. After that, the band got a record deal.
In 1995, the album Simple et funky appeared. Respect, the first single climbed into the international charts. In 1996, the band the French Victoires de la Musique Music Award as the best new band. 1999 appeared the dancefloor album Fat comeback on the Youssou N'Dour and De La Soul were heard as guests. After this album it became quiet around the band. In 2002 it was announced that the band has dissolved.
