Allister Hutton

Allister Hutton ( born July 18, 1954) is a former British long-distance runner.

He was twice each Scottish champion in cross country and in the 5000 - and 10,000 -meter run.

In 1985 and 1986 he was third in the London Marathon, where he set up in 1985 with a 2:09:16 h valid today Scottish record. In 1987 he was second in the Great North Run, 1988 Sixth in London, and in 1990 he won just there in 2:10:10.

From 1974 to 1987 he took ten times for Scotland at the World Cross Country Championships in part, with a 14th place in 1977 as the best placement.

Allister Hutton launched for Edinburgh Southern Harriers (now Edinburgh Athletic Club ).
