Alois-Konstantin, 9th Prince of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg

Alois Konstantin Prince of Löwenstein -Wertheim -Rosenberg ( born December 16, 1941 in Würzburg ) is a German lawyer, manager and head of the firm Lowenstein -Wertheim -Rosenberg.

Family

The noble family of Löwenstein -Wertheim goes back to the Elector Palatine Frederick I (1425-1476) and its in the Palatinate not entitled to inherit son Louis, who founded the independent branch of the Wittelsbach later princely Counts of Löwenstein.

Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein comes from the marriage of Karl zu Löwenstein -Wertheim -Rosenberg (1904-1990) and his wife Carolina dei Conti Rignon (1904-1975) and is the fifth of seven siblings. Today he lives in small Heubach and is since 1965 married to Anastasia born Princess of Prussia, daughter of Emperor grandson Hubertus of Prussia. The marriage produced four children. His son Carl Friedrich Prinz zu Löwenstein died on 24 April 2010 in an accident of the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring.

His nephew ( his sister's son ) is the Ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Germany, Prince Stefan von und zu Liechtenstein.

Life

Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein grew up with his sisters in Bronnbach and attended high school in Miltenberg. He studied law at the Bavarian Julius -Maximilians -Universität Würzburg, then worked in a bank in the U.S. and later, among others, for Gulf Oil in Pittsburgh. In Frankfurt am Main and Munich, he worked in a managerial position for the private bank Merck Finck & Co as well as the LGT bank of the Princely House of Liechtenstein. Until 2005 he was Managing Director of " Federated Asset Management GmbH" in Frankfurt am Main.

Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein was the owner and manager of the Princely Löwensteinischen plants for forestry, agriculture and viticulture. Since the 15th century the family farms about 7,000 acres of forest land in the Spessart and Odenwald, for over 300 years, approximately 50 acres of vineyards in the main triangle in Franconia, in Tauberfranken in Baden and in Hall Garden in the Rheingau.

He also maintains the lion flintlock in small Heubach, the terracing of the vineyard Kallmuth Homburg am Main and the chapel on the Margarethenhof at Neustadt am Main.

Associations and Volunteering

Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein is commander of the Rhine -Main- province of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem, head of the district group Aschaffenburg the Federal Catholic Entrepreneurs ( BKU ) and a board member of the Forum German Catholics, whose annual conference " joy of faith " he since 2001 is president. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Pontifical Foundation Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice ( CAPP ) and is the 1325th Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece ( Austria ).

He is also a senior member since 1965 of the WK St. V. Unitas Hetania the Association of Scientific Catholic student associations Unitas. He is a member of the Board of Trustees Ludwig Windthorst.

Alois Konstantin zu Löwenstein is co-founder of the MIP Management Institute of Paris. He is a colonel in the army reserve and also is committed to the integration of soldiers of the Bundeswehr and the U.S. armed forces.
