Alota Canton

The Canton Alota is a municipality in the department of Potosí in the highlands of South American Andes State of Bolivia.

The Cantón Alota is one of four cantons in the county ( bolivian: municipality ) in the Province of San Agustín Enrique Baldivieso. It is bordered on the north by the Canton of San Agustín, in the east and west by the province of Nor Lípez, and on the south by the Canton of Cerro Gordo.

The Canton Alota is on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera de Lípez in the southeast.
