AlphaSphere

AlphaSphere is the product of a relaxation space whose concept in the years 2004 to 2006 by the Viennese artist Andreas sledders ( " sha. " ) Was developed. The concept includes a sun object ( AlphaLounger ), a suspended fabric cover ( Alpha space ) and various sound compositions (alpha channels). The installation is designed to support its users while relaxing by a combination of sensory stimuli (especially light, sound, heat and vibration).

Concept

Sledders indicates that he was excited about this work in the House of Music in Vienna, when he established there a sound space ( SONOSPHERE ) with sensory impressions from the womb. While children responded strongly to it and laid themselves on the sounding and vibrating floor after its description, adults were more cautious responding. To make this experience accessible to even adults, developed sledders, together with the Institute for Perception Research GmbH in Vienna within two years AlphaLounger and then the whole concept AlphaSphere.
