Alvia

Under the Zuggattungsbezeichnung Alvia the Spanish railway company Renfe operates umspurbare high-speed trains that can operate both in the electrified with 25 kV AC at 50 Hz regelspurigen AVE as well as in over -stressed with 3kV broad gauge network. 120 series

Series 121

Renfe ordered in 2004 a further 29 trains, which are operated as series 121. The trains are essentially identical to those of the 120 series, the main differences are the omission of the first class and the cafeteria, bringing the seating capacity increased from 237 to 281. Series 130/730

The Series 130 is a by the Spanish manufacturer Talgo patent ( manufacturer's designation: Talgo 250) produced in collaboration with Bombardier umspurbarer speed train. Renfe wants to use it mainly for long-haul routes, including the existing AVE network. Due to the optical similarity to the Talgo 350 train this is called ( in German, little duck ) colloquially called Patito. Incidents

On July 24, 2013 derailed a train series 730 in Santiago de Compostela. The accident cost more than 80 lives.
