Alyn Camara

Alyn Camara ( born March 31, 1989 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German track and field athlete with a focus on the long jump.

The son of a German mother and a Senegalese father began with the Athletics at DJK Leo Cologne, then switched to ASV Köln and has been training since 2005 TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. As a teenager, he took up in the hurdles and in the all around, but focused after an injury to the long jump.

In 2010, Camara German junior champion in the long jump, 2011 and 2012 third in the long jump at the German Indoor Championships, in 2012 third in the German Championship and German Masters 2013. In 2012 he competed at the European Championships in Helsinki, but could with 7.80 m at a required qualification width of 8.05 m in the preliminaries will not qualify for the final. He was also nominated for the Olympic Games in London then, where he was eliminated in the preliminaries again. His best performance in 2012 was 8.20 m. With 8,29 m he presented on June 15, 2013 Bad Langensalza his personal best. He won with 8.15 m the long jump competition at the German Championships on 6/7 July 2013 in Ulm, but did not five weeks later at the World Championships in Moscow on the qualifications beyond.
