Ambrogio Casati

Ambrogio Casati (* December 27 1897 in Voghera, Italy, † July 19, 1977 in Pavia ) was an Italian, futurist painter and sculptor.

Life

Casati studied sculpture in Paris. Upon his return to Italy he joined Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and the Futurist movement that gained importance in the Italian art scene. His best known works are The Dance of the chairs (1931 ) and Portrait of Marinetti (1927 ).

Casati was also the mentor of the computer - art pioneer Aldo Giorgini.
