Action

The poet and democratically elected president of a South American country Carlos Quintas is issued after a coup. He went to London, where he organized a government in exile. Quintas falls in love with his assistant Kate Webber.

Quintas is surrounded by people who are suspected as employees of foreign intelligence agencies like the CIA and the KGB. The military junta continues to Quintas a team to kidnap him. Quintas flees with the London Underground.

The magazine Cinema described the film as "a mess " and asked mockingly, whether it was a satire.

The Journal prism praised the " compelling " presentation by Andy Garcia " as a charismatic idealist" in the " exciting political thriller about loyalty, love and the melancholy of exile ".
