Peter Guinness (actor)

Peter Guinness is a British actor.

Life

Guinness had his acting debut in 1979 in the TV series Hazell. He then played some minor roles in television productions, including in the based on the novel Smiley's People by John le Carré of the same series with Alec Guinness in the lead role, with whom he is not related. The following year, he starred in Michael Mann's science fiction horror film The Keep a German soldier. Between 1983 and 1985 he had the recurring role of Dick Skinner in the fantasy series By the Sword Divided.

In the early 1990s he also played in American productions such as the Hollywood movies Alien 3, The Saint - The Saint and Sleepy Hollow as well as the series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones and Highlander. He was also in the British- American co- productions such as Christopher Columbus - with a submarine thriller - The discoverer and Hostile Waters. Between 1997 and 1998 he was seen in a recurring guest role in the British medical drama Casualty. From 2000 to 2002 he had a recurring role in the soap opera Coronation Street. Guinness is also active as a theater actor, among other things, he played in the adaptation of Wladyslaw Szpilman's autobiography The pianist and in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of Thomas Middleton's tragedy Women Beware Women.

Guinness is married to actress Roberta Taylor.
