Anastasija Sevastova

Anastasija Sevastova ( born April 13, 1990 in Liepāja ) is a former Latvian tennis player. Resident has in Vienna.

Career

In 2007 she qualified for the Istanbul Cup, where they 6:1 and 6:3 won her first match against Anastasiya Yakimova. They then defeated Alyona Bondarenko 4:6, 6:3 and 6:75. In 2009 she took part in the French Open, but lost in the first round against Melinda Czink 6:3, 4:6 and 1:6. The Wimbledon Championships 2009, she retired against Kateryna Bondarenko 3:6 and 6:75 also in the first round. In the same year she qualified for the U.S. Open and won against Tamarine Tanasugarn her first match at a Grand Slam tournament with 6:3, 7:5. 8 May 2010 Sevastova won her first WTA title. In Estoril, she defeated Arantxa Parra Santonja in the finals 6-2, 7-5. In May 2013, it ended her career due to repeated injury problems.
