Ancoraimes

Ancoraimes is a village in the department of La Paz in the highlands of South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Ancoraimes is the central village of the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Ancoraimes in the province Omasuyos and lies at an altitude of 3883 m in the Bolivian highlands on the eastern shore of Lake Titicaca.

Geography

Ancoraimes located on the Bolivian Altiplano at the western edge of the Cordillera Real, just 40 kilometers from the Ancohuma, the third highest mountain in Bolivia. The climate in the area Ancoraimes is derived from the altitude on the Altiplano and proximity to large water surface of Lake Titicaca, which mitigates the temperature fluctuations.
