And So I Watch You from Afar

And So I Watch You from Afar ( ASIWYFA short ) is an instrumental post-rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The band consists of Rory Friers and Tony Wright on guitars, Jonathan Adger on bass and Chris Wee on drums together. They are traded very highly by many relevant music magazines. Sub-genre fans are known for their live performances.

History

The band was founded in late 2005 and released their debut EP Tonight the City Burns in spring 2007. This publication was followed by the EP This Is Our Machine and Nothing Can Stop It ( October 2007), with vocals by Cahir O'Doherty of Fighting with Wire and Jetplane Landing. At the time they recorded their debut album in the studio, they went on a solo tour of the UK, but also played concerts with other bands like High on Fire, Crippled Black Phoenix, 65daysofstatic or Yourcodenameis: milo. At that time they were noticed by music critics and DJs Huw Stephens of BBC Radio 1 played the first one title from them on national radio.

Your self -titled debut album was released them in April 2009 and found positive reviews in music magazines such as Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Drowned In Sound, Visions and Metal Hammer. Rest of the year she spent with other live performances in the UK, for which there were more positive coverage in magazines and blogs alike. In February 2010, then followed the EP The Letters.
