Andain

Andain is a music project of San Francisco consisting of producer Josh Gabriel and singer Mavie Marcos. Her style includes the areas of trance, progressive house and indie rock.

Band History

The music group Andain was founded in 2001 and originally comprised guitarist David Penner yet. 2002 her first debut single "Summer Calling " was released on the label Black Hole Recordings. The single was remixed, among others, Airwave and DJ Tomcraft.

However, the most successful to date track of Andain is also released on Black Hole Recordings 2003 single " Beautiful Things ". Also by this single numerous remixes were again produced, among others, Cor Fijneman and most recently in 2010 by Roger Shah, Pedro del Mar and Jorn van Deynhoven. The single was Progressive / Trance Track nominated at the International Dance Music Awards at the Winter Music Conference in the category of Best 2004. Excellent eventually became "As The Rush Comes" by Motorcycle, which was also co-produced by Josh Gabriel. The group was also nominated in the Best New still Dance Group category.

2004, the Trio nor the songs "You Once Told Me " and the Depeche Mode cover " Here is the House", which appeared on Gabriel & Dresden's album Bloom. After the music project has been temporarily suspended because of other commitments by Josh Gabriel.

Since 2007, the group worked ( now only consisting of Josh Gabriel and Mavie Marcos ) on their debut album, released in September 2012. The first single of the album "Promises " was released in June 2011, followed by " Much Too Much" and " Turn Up The Sound". The single " Promises " was nominated at the International Dance Music Awards 2012 for Best Trance Track and Best chillout / lounge track.
