Andre Faust

Andre Faust (born 7 October 1969 in Joliette, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player and coach, who in his active period from 1988 to 2004, including for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, as well as the Augsburger Panther and Kölner Haie has played in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Andre Faust began his career as a hockey player in the team of Princeton University, where he was active in the ECAC Hockey 1988-1992. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1989 in the ninth round as a total 173 players from the New Jersey Devils, for whom he never played, however, because they did not take him in the next two years under contract. On 5 October 1992, the attacker signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Flyers, for whom he stood in the following two seasons in the National Hockey League on the ice. Mainly, however, he played for the farm team of the American Hockey League, Hershey Bears. On September 20, 1995, he was discharged Jets in exchange for a seventh- round choice of law in the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 at the Winnipeg, however, was in the 1995/96 season only from their AHL farm team, the Springfield Falcons used.

In summer 1996, Faust was hired by the Augsburg Panthers, for whom he ran aground in the next four years in the DEL. He then moved to the Cologne Sharks, with whom he became German champion in the 2001/ 02 season. His career ended the Canadians in northern Europe, where in the AL -Bank Ligaen, he stood between 2002 and 2004 in each of a season for the reigning Swedish champions Färjestad BK in the Elitserien, as well as the Danish runners-up Odense Bulldogs on the ice. Immediately after the end of his playing career Faust worked in the 2004/05 season as an assistant coach for the University team of Princeton University, where he had begun his career.
