Andrea Šušnjara
Andrea Susnjara, better known as Andrea (born 26 February 1987 in Split, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Croatian pop singer. Together with Igor Cukrov she represented Croatia at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 and reached the finals of the 18th Place.
Biography
Andrea Susnjara was born in 1987 in Split. The age of six, she took piano lessons, and later, with the attendance of a language school, the aspiring singer also took singing lessons. At the age of 17 years was diagnosed with cancer Susnjara. This she fought successfully with numerous chemotherapies. She is currently studying pedagogy in Split.
Musical career
In 2004, at the Andrea Dora, the Croatian finals for the Euro Vision Song Contest, part and was the first time to a wider audience. In this case, the then only seventeen interpreted the Tonći of Huljić, then a member of the successful band Croatian magazine, composed song Noah, with whom she won first place in the semi-finals and the finals just behind Ivan Mikulić was second. In the same year she performed at the Split Festival entitled Kad zažmirim and received an award for best debut artist.
A year later, they met again at the Dora, this time with the title Ljudi s mora, which was also composed by Huljić. Andrea could again reach the finals and finished in fourth place this time. This was followed featurings on albums known artists, such as on an album of Australian- British band bond and the Russian violinist Ksenija.
In order to complete her education, she moved the singer a short time later from the music business. However, they followed the advice of Huljić to participate in the casting for the search for the new lead singer of the magazine, after Jelena Rozga left this. Andrea could stand up here and got the place, but this had to evacuate after the few years previously diagnosed cancer and the chemotherapy has weakened the health condition of the singer.
2009 followed the request of Huljić, Igor Cukrov in his performance of Lijepa Tena at the Dora of the same year to support. The singer agreed to this, won with Cukrov Croatian preliminary decision and represented Croatia at the Euro Vision Song Contest thus, 2009 in Moscow. The two artists arrived with 45 points to 18th place.
Since 2010 She is the lead singer of the group magazine.
