Andreas Udvari

Andreas Udvari (* December 15 1981 in Graefelfing ) is a retired German bobsledder.

Andreas Udvari is a high school teacher and started for the WSV Koenigssee. The Munich which after a successful athletics career as a decathlete, he was several Bavarian and German champion team champion in the decathlon, since 2003 operates the bobsledding, is one of the best German brakeman. He is a member of the team of Karl Angerer. With this he won the 2004 bronze medal in two-man and four-man event at the Junior World Championships, as well as in the four-man event in 2006. In the four-man event he won in 2008 in Altenberg his first World Cup race. In Koenigssee followed in January 2009, his second World Cup win in four-man bobsleigh. The third World Cup victory in 2010, he celebrated the team again in Koenigssee. Furthermore, he could 2006-2010 still reach several podium finishes in the World Cup. His other major accomplishments include a third place at the European Championships 2009 in St. Moritz and a fourth place at the 2010 European Championships in Innsbruck. Due to time problems which was caused by the termination of the study and the start of work as a teacher and who admitted a serious competitive sport training under conditions only to a limited extent, finished Udvari 2010 at the age of 28 years his active career.
